[jira] [Commented] (OPENEJB-1965) Set hibernate.id.new_generator_mappings=true as a default

Romain Manni-Bucau commented on OPENEJB-1965:
---------------------------------------------

Hi,

the main issue is it is not backward compatible so if you have an existing app and upgrade and we set this to true by default the app will not work anymore (well the db link ;))

so i'd prefer to keep it in a doc, at least for the moment

wdyt?

> Nice to have: if the persistence provider is Hibernate, set hibernate.id.new_generator_mappings=true.
> This enables @Sequence(initialValue) to be recognized, and few other things. More info: https://docs.jboss.org/author/display/AS71/JPA+Reference+Guide#JPAReferenceGuide-Persistenceunitproperties
