noindex, nofollow as lenya meta tags

In order to allow better integration of other search engines I would
like to add the following meta elements

<lenya:meta>
  <!--
  <lenya:noindex/>
  <lenya:nofollow/>
  -->

which would be translated into

<meta name="robots" content="noindex,nofollow">

in the case of (X)HTML

WDYT?

Michi

it's just an example and to show people how to do it.
Normally one wants that pages are being indexed.

How about "rep" for Robot Exclusion Protocol.

Maybe we could introduce a generic MetaData interface?

The meta data objects could be obtained based on the namespace URI:

MetaData dublinCore = document.getMetaData(DublinCore.NAMESPACE);
dublinCore.setValue(DublinCore.ELEMENT_TITLE, "Hello World");

MetaData searchMeta = document.getMetaData(SearchMetaData.NAMESPACE);
searchMeta.setValue(SearchMetaData.INDEX, "false");

How do other projects handle this?

I'm concerned that about having a bit of a mess. How about nesting
it in the way the dublin core is done?

I would suggest to file the API changes as an enhancement.

For the moment an administrator could add them by hand and the XSLT
would put them into the HTML head

How would that be exposed in the API?

IIRC there is no way to set non-DC meta yet ...
