> Messing with histograms of late, seems a pity we don't show in UI histograms of basic recent events and metrics. In past we've tried to keep history in a history table and we've talked of bringing this back as data source for being able to mine what has been happening of late and in the recent past but meantime, we could keep running in-memory histograms of recent history and show cute little histo-diagrams of hits, compactions, flushes... Would be nice little project with a high profile.  It'd not be a replacement for cluster monitoring but more just an at-a-glance high-level dashboard that gives a clue on "...what has my cluster been up to of late?"
