Question on ApacheDS backup/restore
Am not sure if there is a recommended way to backup/restore Apache DS instance M23? Please suggest ...Thanks

It may - or may not - work : the problem is taht if your tar runs while
some data are updated, then you will tar an incomplete version, and you
might lose some information...

Meanwhile, had written script to just tar the partition dir and untar for restore. Certainly not the cleanest way to do it.

Using the correct mailing list is important :
- users questions are noise on a dev mailing list
- they are less likely to be answered, leaving you with no response
- there are way less people on the dev list, you may not get a quick answer

- and any answer you get wil also benefit to all users having the same problem or same question.
