[users@httpd] Apache/ Reverse Proxy

Does mod_proxy handle a Response.Redirect ("filename.asp") differently compared to Response.Redirect (" http://proxy.whatever.com/filename.asp").  Basically relative versus absolute using a FQDN?  Our developers are wanting to know the best way to code their applications through the proxy in regards to performance and the way the resource is being handled.
