Pbroblems with Forward

Hi all,

when i hit a button(SAVE button),depending on the
forward name it has to goto the correspoding mapping
page,usig <forward> tag in action Mappings
<action   path="/page1"
         type="com.abc.site.ActionSave"
         name="pageform1"
         scope="request"
         input="page1.jsp"
         validate="true">
<forward name="createSuccess" path="/Listings.do"/> 
<forward name="editSuccess"  path="/edit.do"/> 
in the above form "pageform1" i have a get() and set()
methods for One variable( x ).in my .jsp i'm passing
the variable( x ) as <html:hidden property=x>
when the routine return "createSuccess",it is going to
Listings.do,that is working perfectly
in the listings.do...

<forward name="success" path="/someother.do"/> 
i have a form "pageform2",in this form also i have
declared same variable name (x) as i declared in the
previous form,it has get() and set() methods to get
the value of the variable.

when i hit SAVE button,it is going to the listings.do
page but with the variable( x ) value with null,why it
is happening even i have a get() and set() methods in
the next form.
