Use of HTTP Cookie Manager and HTTP Proxy Server

Hi,

I´m new on this list and my english isn´t al well as my german, but i try to
ask.

We installed Jmeter and we have two problems.

First, we can´t make a testplan automaticly by using the HTTP-Proxy-Server.
We don´t know how to include the HTTP-PROXY-SERVER correct.

Second, the HTTP Cookie Manager doens´t work as we need.
No cookies where given to the second HTTP-Request.

Can anybody help?

Hi Torsten,

first of all "welcome to the jmeter list".

To use the http-proxy server correctly, you have to add under the workbench
a non test element "http-proxy", after this, you must add a recording
controller (you can find it in logic controller). In the http-proxy
controller you can configure the using port of the proxy an much other
aspects. After you have started the roxy, go to your internet exploerer and
configure it, that the IE uses the proy from jmeter (if you do nothing
change in jmeter, than you can configure the IE to use the localhost:8080
proxy). Now you can browse through your application an jmeter records the
requests/ responses.

Where have you add the cookie-manager?

I hope you can understand me, because my english isn't perfect.
