[users@httpd] help how to generate the Random number

Can anyone give me guideline how to generate the random number in AIX 5.1  ?

[users@httpd] apache/apxs file

hi...

i'm trying to find out how to get the "apxs" file/app for my version of
apache. i have version 2.0.40 of apache, running RH 8.0. the initial apache
was installed using the rpms from rh.

i'm looking at installing the latest version of php for use with
mysql/mysqli. i can't find out how to build the app from looking at
google/apache.org. will i have to rebuild apache from source? i'd prefer to
not screw up what i have any more than possible!!!

Sorry , i did not realized that, this time it is 
plain text file.

Do i need to run something also with egd.pl to
generate .rand file, it will help me to create pkey
file also.
