Hbase Schema design

Hello All, 

We are new to Hadoop and have the basic installation experiance of setting
CDH3 in our environment. 

We have a requirment to migrate a traditional web application into cloud...
We have our user based around the globe, so the transaction volume will be
high as a user base... 

Can some one help me, if there is any reference that i can get on the
limitation of number of HBASE tables / Column family etc.., 

I would really appreate, if you can share the best practices/guidelines
during the HBASE Table design
