disabling authentication in .htaccess file (fwd)

So tell me, just how _do_ you do this? I can change the authentication
for the subdirectory, but can't figure out the disable bit.

I couldn't think of any nice way, other than adding a "mod_auth_none" or
or "AuthType none".

Hi,

I have the following problem : I have a directory which has to be
protected with a password. I have set up a .htaccess file for it, it
worked great. Now this directory has some subdirectory, which don't have
to be protected with a password. How do I get that working ? I tried to
create another .htaccess file with some keywords but didn't manage to
get something good.. Anyone some ideas ?

Tia,

Martijn
