how to assign values to hidden form that are not strings

Hello

I have a problem with an <html:optionsCollection .../> that is populated 
with a collection
in my ValidatorForm dynamicaly.
When, my form pass in validation and return to the input jsp because of 
errors,
the collection seems to disappear.
Can I put it in a hidden tag to keep it ?
