[jira] [Created] (CXF-8693) Confusing use of mixed version numbers in CXF jar files.

Gary D. Gregory created CXF-8693:
------------------------------------

             Summary: Confusing use of mixed version numbers in CXF jar files.
                 Key: CXF-8693
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CXF-8693
             Project: CXF
          Issue Type: Improvement
    Affects Versions: 3.4.7
            Reporter: Gary D. Gregory

It happens once a year, at least, when someone reports internally that something went wrong with our product's CXF update when they point out that we still have version 3.3.1 jar files leftover somehow. It happened again with our update to 3.4.7:
{noformat}
cxf-xjc-boolean-3.3.1.jar
cxf-xjc-bug671-3.3.1.jar
cxf-xjc-dv-3.3.1.jar
cxf-xjc-javadoc-3.3.1.jar
cxf-xjc-runtime-3.3.1.jar
cxf-xjc-ts-3.3.1.jar
{noformat}
I finally thought I'd create a ticket here in the hope that the version numbers can be made to match.
