C2 PDF display requires refresh in IE 5.5

Using NT 4 SP6 (or 2000), IE 5.5, Acrobat Reader 4.05c, I get a blank page
when I request the sample "hello.pdf" (or any other PDF) from C2.

	http://localhost:8080/cocoon/hello.pdf

If I subsequently refresh the page, the Acrobat Reader plugin then launches
and displays the PDF. This problem didn't occur with C1 in the same
environment(s). It (C2) seems to work fine with Netscape 4.08.

Any ideas (short of "don't use IE")?

Thanks. I tried that. Still get odd behavior. Acrobat launches, but I get
a blank document.

Idea:

Open Acrobat's menu, find item related to itegration of Acorbat with web
browser,
change it so that Acrobat is not integrated with web browser anymore.

Try again, browser should invoke Acrobat, but it will open new separate
window for itself.
