I can't use math to create any expressions. I wanted to enter a limit function,
couldn't, and looked up the help document. It says "1.Choose Insert - Object -
Formula." Those buttons don't exist for me, neither Insert, nor Object, nor
Formula. Right-clicking the screen or any text I enter doesn't give me any
results either.
Help?

I did the typical install.
I withdraw this bug report. I found the instructions for activating the
Elements box under the View button in the new help section on "limits;in
OpenOffice.org Math".

Is that in writer? When I open Writer, I do have that menu entry, but the box
full of formulas that appeared in the video does not appear for me.
Isn't that supposed to be in Math too? I can confirm that I am missing that
menu entry in Math.

Yes - that's Writer.
Maybe you've done a custom install without Math?
Math doesn't have Insert in its menu.
