[jira] [Created] (SQOOP-2108) URI format for --password-file
argument
Mariano Dominguez created SQOOP-2108:
----------------------------------------
Summary: URI format for --password-file argument
Key: SQOOP-2108
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SQOOP-2108
Project: Sqoop
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: docs
Affects Versions: 1.4.5
Reporter: Mariano Dominguez
If no scheme (file, hdfs) is provided in the URI when using the --password-file argument, Sqoop goes to HDFS by default to get the password file.
This appears to be confusing to some users. Please add clarification about using the 'file' scheme in the URI if the password file is stored in the local FS.
Relevant documentation:

Secure way of supplying password to the database.
