Just used CMS to update two Incubator files:
URL: http://svn.apache.org/r1579854
and
 http://svn.apache.org/r1579856

The builds failed because the editing process had added a blank line to the start of the file. I had to remove this using SVN.

AFAICT at present it's not possible to edit XML files using CMS
