"Edit this page in Word" button in IE
I'm having a look at slide as an option for a project that I've got
on at the moment. One of the prerequisites is the operation of the
"Edit this page in Microsoft Word" button on the Internet Explorer
toolbar.
Running a very simple Slide setup (using the Tomcat/Slide packaged
binary), I've saved a HTML file into the repository using Microsoft
Word. When I browse to the file in Microsoft Word, the button which
would normally let me edit pages in Word (or FrontPage, Notepad or
whatever) is greyed out.
Is this just an abnormality of Internet Explorer? I mean, this option
is available on every other website, but not from Slide. Can anybody
recommend a way of making this functionality available?
Thanks,
- andrew
