Has WorkbookFactory been depreciated?

I have the following import in my code along with many usermodel classes, but 
WorkbookFactory isn't recognized.

org.apache.poi.ss.usermodel.WorkbookFactory;

my IDE path is set to poi-3.8-beta-20101028
