jsp pagis in /WEB-INF directory

Hi,

    Why is better put jsp's in the /WEB-INF directory??
    and
    I'm use <html:link forward="/WEB-INF/pages/jsp/A.jsp"> tag in a jsp but,
no works, what i doing wrong??
