[jira] [Commented] (METRON-420) Add Expiration to a Profile Definition

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/METRON-420?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15494063#comment-15494063 ]

Nick Allen commented on METRON-420:
-----------------------------------

I am calling this "expires" to the user. The data generated from a Profile "expires" and is purged after a fixed period of time. Under the covers, this is implemented using a TTL on the Put to HBase.

> Key: METRON-420
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/METRON-420
> Project: Metron
> Issue Type: Sub-task
> Reporter: Nick Allen

>
> The user should be able to specify an expiration for each profile definition. This will allow the data produced by the Profiler for each profile to be retained for different periods of time.
