[MP2] Test failure in t/apache/content_length_header.t on mod_perl 2.0.0

-------------8<---------- Start Bug Report ------------8<----------
1. Problem Description:

While installing mod_perl 2.0.0, I had some test failures.

t/apache/content_length_header..........NOK 2# Failed test 2 in t/apache/content_length_header.t at line 50
t/apache/content_length_header..........NOK 5# Failed test 5 in t/apache/content_length_header.t at line 71
t/apache/content_length_header..........NOK 17# Failed test 17 in t/apache/content_length_header.t at line 71 fail #2
t/apache/content_length_header..........FAILED tests 2, 5, 17
        Failed 3/27 tests, 88.89% okay

Here's the verbose output from the test...

right, which is not supported.

In which case you need to contact your distributor and tell them to not
advertise the apache version as 2.0.53 when in reality it's not so. they
should call it 2.1.whatever but not 2.0.53.

Just tried it with a pristine 2.0.54 and all the tests passed. Hateful
Ubuntu! I guess I'll open the ticket with them then :)

Re: [mp2] how to automap modules in httpd.conf?

Posted by Foo Ji-Haw <jh...@nexlabs.com>.
Yup. Apache::Dispatch is what I'm looking for! Thanks for the reminder.

Even though I can't find Apache2::Dispatch (Dispatch for Apache2?), it
gives me an idea on how to implement it internally.

Thanks Stas.

Foo Ji-Haw, please take a look at Geoff's:
http://search.cpan.org/dist/Apache-Dispatch/
I'm not sure if was ported to mp2, but it should be an easy thing to do.

Also take a look at:

[mp2] how to automap modules in httpd.conf?

Posted by Foo Ji-Haw <jh...@nexlabs.com>.
Hello guys,

I have been happily developing apps with MP2. Some hiccups, but mostly
all due to my bad coding. But generally MP2 is a great platform and I
will like to be a better MP2 guy. :)

For one of my applications, I have a bunch of modules that I wrote, each
actually maps to unique directory paths. For example:

 app::module1 => http://www.domain.com/module1/
 app::module2 => http://www.domain.com/module2/

I can do this by creating an exhaustive list in httpd.conf with:
<Location /module1>
        SetHandler perl-script
        PerlResponseHandler app::module1
</Location>
<Location /module2>
        SetHandler perl-script
        PerlResponseHandler app::module2
</Location>
...

But if I have a really long list of modules all with similar package
names, is there a way to do autoloading at the httpd.conf level? I
thought I read about it before, but now I just can't seem to find it on
the Web again...

Thanks in advance.

I tried again with a pristine 2.0.54, and all the tests passed. Hateful
Ubuntu! A ticket has been opened with them instead.

Yes, you do get this error in 2.1.5-dev.
It doesn't happen in 2.0.5(3|4)

smells like a fake 2.0.53 (prepackaged 2.0.53 + patches from 2.1.0, which
is not supported by mp2.0.0)
