Test(s) performed with:

OS: OS X 10.12.3
Apache OpenOffice: 4.1.3 (Rev. 1761381)

I could not reproduce the issue with the following steps:

1. Open AOO, create new text document.

2. Typed some random text.

3. Clicked 'Save' button.

4. File saved.

Rene, was there something else that you did to get the freezing that you are
experiencing?
