tcp/ip logging doubts

hi,

   i am janardhanan from india. i came to know from log4j.org site.

   i want to redirect the error message to the database. i started a server 
at port no 80 and redirected all the message to that server using 
SocketAppender class. but in the server i could not read the objects send by 
the clients properly. how to handle the situation please help me out from 
this problem
