[jira] [Created] (HBASE-7004) Thrift examples for Ruby/Perl/Python/PHP are outdated and partially broken

Sergey Shelukhin created HBASE-7004:
---------------------------------------

Summary: Thrift examples for Ruby/Perl/Python/PHP are outdated and partially broken
                 Key: HBASE-7004
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-7004
             Project: HBase
          Issue Type: Improvement
    Affects Versions: 0.96.0
            Reporter: Sergey Shelukhin
            Priority: Minor

Long time ago, Java and C++ examples for Thrift were fixed and changed to have commandline parameters instead of hardcoding localhost:9090.
All the examples run (as in HBASE-6793 at least), but most of them bail when they expect an operation to fail and it succeeds.

Others were not updated with that. I added commandline args for Ruby one in HBASE-6793 before deciding to spin off this Jira to make all the examples work.
