Developing the TCK for JCR 2.0

Hi everybody,

while a lot of work has already been done towards implementing the JCR
2.0 API (in trunk), there has been only a limited amount of activity on
upgrading jackrabbit-jcr-tests to cover the whole new API.

While the Jackabbit JCR API dependendy has not been changed (yet!) to
JCR 2.0 (see Jukka's announcement in [1]), we can already do some work
that does not depend on 2.0:

1) verify that we're ok with the JCR 1.0 tests currently contained in
jackrabbit-jcr-tests,

2) identify additional test cases that currently live in other
Jackrabbit projects that should be moved in jackrabbit-jcr-tests.

Feedback appreciated,

Julian

jackrabbit-jcr2spi contains some more tests which might be generally
applicable.

I don't think that those are of much interest, because they are
generally unrelated to JSR 283. I don't see much value in adding new
tests to the TCK that cover features that were already present in JSR
170.

Understood :-)

But what I was really thinking of were test cases that have been
collected since 2006, independently of JSR-283. I think there are some
provided by Angela within the SPI projects; so are there more places
like that?

that should be easy, they live here:
https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/jackrabbit/trunk/jackrabbit-core/src/test/java/org/apache/jackrabbit/api/jsr283
