cross-platform scripting in ant

Hello all,
I was wondering about the following: i used to write ant scripts with some <scriptdef> tasks written in javascript using BSF(apache bsf) and rhino.
Now i would like those script tasks to be compatible with an AIX 5.2 platform: should i change the scripting language?How about The bsf library since IBM has its own but ant 1.6 and later only works with Apache bsf?
