[jira] [Created] (MAPREDUCE-5090) TotalOrderPartitioner does not recognize total.order.partitioner.* settings

Jason Lowe created MAPREDUCE-5090:
-------------------------------------

Summary: TotalOrderPartitioner does not recognize total.order.partitioner.* settings
                 Key: MAPREDUCE-5090
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MAPREDUCE-5090
             Project: Hadoop Map/Reduce
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Jason Lowe

There is a backwards-compatibility issue where TotalOrderPartitioner no longer recognizes the Hadoop 1.x properties such as {{total.order.partitioner.natural.order}}, {{total.order.partitioner.max.trie.depth}}, and {{total.order.partitioner.path}}. The javadoc for TotalOrderPartitioner.setConf even mentions these properties but does not honor them.
