I am working on a JavaScript Drill client that is a quick drop-in replacement for sqlline. Current embedded js client is unstable partly because the underlying REST API does not offer any functionality for certain use cases and importantly error reporting. We need to work on our REST API to expose Drill resources with a cleaner API that ships more functionality to user space. REST API will also enable users to interact with Drill using programming languages that are not supported officially more easily.
