[jira] [Created] (UIMA-2730) Descriptions extracted from JavaDoc may contain HTML

Richard Eckart de Castilho created UIMA-2730:
------------------------------------------------

Summary: Descriptions extracted from JavaDoc may contain HTML
                 Key: UIMA-2730
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/UIMA-2730
             Project: UIMA
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: uimaFIT-Maven-Plugin
            Reporter: Richard Eckart de Castilho

JavaDoc allows it to use HTML tags for formatting. Currently, these end up in the description field of UIMA XML component descriptors, when the description is extracted from the JavaDoc using the uimaFIT Maven plugin. Consider Jericho to convert HTML embedded in JavaDoc to plain text.
