Greg's team wants to extract HBase data in parallel. Right now we don't support the Fast Extract ODBC interface yet. To enable parallel extracts with a regular ODBC interface, we could enable the syntax to select individual partitions:

select * from table(table mysch.mytable, partition number <n>)
select * from table(table mysch.mytable, partition number from <n> to <m>)
