HSSF Cell and Date format

Hi


     if (HSSFDateUtil.isCellDateFormatted(cell)) { }  this
condition works for me if the cell contains date or date and
time, but if it contains only time, condition is considering my
cell value as numerical value only. How should i solve the
problem
