jetspeed from CVS

i've checkout CVS
cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs@jakarta.apache.org:/home/cvspublic -z9 checkout jakarta-jetspeed
but it seems it not workable.
many dirs are empty. i've got errors while compile it.
what may be wrong
