[users@httpd] Auth asking for password twice.

I have a server that has a cname

ragdoll.foobar.com is the and A record.

service.foobar.com is the CNAME and the servername in httpd.conf

I am running 1.3.27, using an LDAP module, authentication is required as soon as you ttry to access the site.

Problem. When you enter the URL http://ragdoll.foobar.com Username and password is asked and then access is given.

If you enter http://service.foobar.com Username and password is asked for TWICE.

Why is this? How do I correct it.

Cheers

Cian
