Wiki-style editor

Anyone come across the a wiki-style editor for lenya/cocoon ?

It would be something that requires very simple formatting in a html
text area to produce html. No fancy JavaScript or anything - dead simple.

So far I have come across this http://rossel.free.fr/projects/wikiland/
but wondered if there was any others I might be missing.

Regards

Pete

+1 as soon as we have svn. On the other hand, we just can exclude it
from the 1.2.1 version.

In general +1 to check it in.

If it is maintained it should be activated or added to the distribution. Perhaps
for 1.2.1 ?

it's not unmaintained. I recently fixed a lot of stuff and especially
the Matrix is a very nice example of the form wizard editor.
Also Lucene is indexing the XML and not just the HTML, and on and on ....

But on the other hand it doesn't help because people don't see it and
won't be able to learn from it, because the lenya:show="false" is set.

I think this is very destructive if that was the intention.

So, either we turn it on again or remove it from CVS resp. move it to
oscom.org

I will initialize a vote on this.

Michi

I want to join if possible! Would it be possible to use a forrest pub
structure for that? ;-)

I reckon before that we should try to get out of the incubator first.
AFAIK Steven said something like he thinks that lenya seems to be ready
to leave the incubator
(http://nagoya.apache.org/eyebrowse/ReadMsg?listName=lenya-dev@cocoon.apache.org&msgId=1703869).

After that I think subprojects would be the best place to develope this
special publication!

WDYT?

I know.

Before we start again on this topic, I will host the Wiki Publication at
wyona.org and make it public. Everyone who wants to join as a developer
just needs to tell me. If we get enough momentum, then we can cast a
vote on moving
it into Lenya as a sample publication.

Another solution for the future might be that Lenya itself is hosting
the publications/publets as "subsubprojects", but we would have to
discuss this first with the Cocoon PMC

Is it possible to create a repository at Apache for
publication development? I would also like to start
an open source publication, but not as a sample within
the Lenya distribution.

If we don't get a repository, maybe something like

/cocoon-lenya/scratchpad

could be considered?

Sounds like a good idea. Will go and have a peep at that Chaperon

I have started a Lenya Wiki publication based on Chaperon, but don't
find the
time currently to finish it.

I can checkin what I have so far and set the publication to lenya:show=false
such that people wouldnt notice, but "developers" could work on it.

I think a Lenya Wiki publication would be great for various reasons and
it would be very cool if other people would help on developing it.
