getting values of nested:checkbox

hi!, All
    if i'm assigning a nested non boolean form bean property to check box how can i get the value of the only checked check boxes form the group in the action class.
   i'm using nested tags for this purpose.. is there any other way thro which i can get the values of the check boxes.

pls. help
