[jira] [Created] (SPARK-40143) ANSI mode: explicitly casting String as Integral types should allow fraction strings

Gengliang Wang created SPARK-40143:
--------------------------------------

Summary: ANSI mode: explicitly casting String as Integral types should allow fraction strings
                 Key: SPARK-40143
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-40143
             Project: Spark
          Issue Type: Sub-task
          Components: SQL
    Affects Versions: 3.4.0
            Reporter: Gengliang Wang
            Assignee: Gengliang Wang

It's part of the ANSI SQL standard, and more consistent with the non-ansi casting. We can have different behavior for implicit casting to avoid `'1.2' = 1` returns true.
