ServletMapping and possible bug in getActionMappingURL()

Is this a valid servlet mapping?

    <servlet-mapping>
        <servlet-name>StrutsController</servlet-name>
        <url-pattern>/*.do</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>

if so, the RequestUtils.getActionMappingURL() will not handle it in
struts1.1 (not sure about earlier versions). It causes it to ignore the
action mapping.
