Multiple Processes for Tomcat

Dear Friends,

How can configure Tomcat so that it starts multiple processes instead of just one? I have heavy load and a single process can attach to more than 3 Gig of memory. If I could spawn multiple processes for a single Tomcat instance, I could use more memory.

Apache has similar configuration diretive.
