Need help on table rows display

Hi All,
 
I need help to display a no: of table rows.
whenever a data exist in XML according to that table rows were
displaying properly.
if not exist i need  to display  dynamically no: of rows in the table.
like some 10 or may be some 28.
it should be dependant on a variable.
is it possible in XSL?if it is how...?
please help me to solve my issue.
