Release of Ivy 2.4.0
The last release of Eclipse has introduced a nasty bug [2], IvyDE is impacted, and the fix/work-around is in Ivy [2]. I think we should get a fix out very soon.
And Ivy has been in RC for quite some time, I suggest we release it with also that fix, as the 2.4.0.
This would be the first release done from git, my free time is quite limited, so don’t freak if I take some time to get out a release to be voted upon.

We can try out the latest master, but probably not for a bit, as we're in
the middle of shoring up our own RC.
My concern is more around 2.4.x. If that bug exists in 2.4.x, it means
2.4.x is mostly dead-on-arrival. Our sbt users hit the issue immediately,
even if our own unit tests did not, as these users are heavily entwined in
the maven ecosystem.
If you haven't already, just adding anything which tests Hadoop library
resolution would be good. I've been trying to get us a test case for
parent-pom related issues, and hadoop provides amble fodder.
So, we won't' be able to offer any testing assistance this month, and I
don't have the repeatable test-case for any quick validation. Hopefully we
can be more helpful in the future :)

If you have more time than me, you can do the release :)
We need to get necessary stuff merged back in the 2.4 branch.
We need a review of the doc and the site and replace mentions of svn by git (some people wrote they were still confused by that, we missed some on the site apparently).
We need to update the doc about how to release; which would be probably done along the releasing.

If It helps, we had to move back to 2.3 because parent-pom-properties don't
resolve correctly in 2.4.0-rc1 which broke a lot of our users.

If I remember correctly, the 2.4.0-RC1 also introduced some other very annoying bugs, these fixes should be included in the 2.4.0 release as well imho.
I whish I could help you with it Nicolas, but I also have too little time which will be needed for the first release on git.
(In fact, my very very low activity is also caused by the fact that we are on git now in combination with the lack of time to learn how to use it properly)
