Newbie: Developing an Interactive Site

Hi all,

I've just upgraded my version of dbXML to Xindice. I like to know if how 
could i develop an interactive site that would communicate to the Xindice 
server, thereby retrieving data to display in other formats and not as a XML 
document alone.

I know of xpath and to use xhtml, but i do not know if its the best way to 
make an interactive site. I am ASP trained so it would be nice if there's a 
way to use .asp to create the site. If xpath is the only way out, could 
anyone kindly show me an example of it? Thanks everyone for reading this
