[jira] [Commented] (VALIDATOR-390) Upgrade to Commons Collections 4.x

Lorenzo Scianatico commented on VALIDATOR-390:

Hi,
FastHashMap can be safely dropped away. I suggest to remove the dependency and to replace FastHashMap with ConcurrentHashMap, which is already JDK included.
BeanUtils relies on FastHashMap but the method that uses that class is not used in the whole commons-validator.

> Commons Validator 1.5 now uses Java 1.6. Commons Collections 4.0/4.1 has the same Java requirement.
> I noticed that CV seems to be the only one of many third party dependencies in my project that requires CC 3.2.
