I've found a workaround. I've defined an external Maven Installation and it's working fine now.

> I've installed the new version of the M2 Eclipse Plugin and get a linkage error now. The console stops and the thread is frozen somehow.
> [ERROR] org.apache.maven.plugin.eclipse.EclipsePlugin#execute() caused a linkage error (java.lang.VerifyError) and may be out-of-date. Check the realms:
> [ERROR] Plugin realm = /plugins/org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-eclipse-plugin:2.5-SNAPSHOT@48/thread:main
> Please the full console output in the attached file.
> Would be nice to have the eclipse plugin 2.5 working in eclipse with M2 plugin in the future. It's working fine in the command prompt and mvn.
> Thanks
