Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: XERCERJ-128
Summary: lax wildcard is handled as strict wildcard in some cases
       Type: Bug

     Status: Resolved
 Resolution: DUPLICATE

    Project: Xerces2-J

   Assignee: Xerces-J Developers Mailing List
   Reporter: Takuki Kamiya

    Created: Sat, 19 Jan 2002 9:12 PM
    Updated: Mon, 12 Apr 2004 2:15 PM
Environment: Operating System: Windows NT/2K
Platform: PC

Description:
Schema-validation fails with error message:
"cvc-complex-type.2.4.c: The matching wildcard is strict,
but no declaration can be found for element 'foo:undeclared'.

But the location (/foo:root[1]/foo:laxAny[1]/foo:undeclared[1])
where it fails is of type of wildcard "lax" instead of "strict".
