> In log4j2, there doesn't seem to be a way to trim the logger name from the right.  I have a situation where our logger names can be extremely large, even when only using the class name.  We'd like to trim it down to a certain number of characters (e.g. 10).  When reading trace files, the 10 beginning characters would be more unique than the last 10 characters.  This would be extremely useful for us to be able to do in the configuration file in the pattern layout.
