I'm satisfied with your summary for Lucy.

I updated the Nutch entry. FYI, I encountered the following error,
several times in a row:

The specified baseline is not the latest baseline, so it may not be
checked out

Googling for help I found anegdotic evidence that this is due to SVN
overload. After a few more attempts the error disappeared.

OK, I ran through the archives and filled in for various projects.

You have until 5 PM EDT to modify the report for your project!

Tika report is in, see below for a copy.

already on the coming Wednesday, the 17th!

TIKA

Apache Tika is a toolkit for detecting and extracting metadata and
structured text content from various documents using existing parser
libraries.

Tika 0.3 was released in March, and we are planning to release version
0.4 soon. Tika development continues at a steady pace with no major
roadblocks in sight.

A Solr-based search feature built and hosted by Lucid Imagination was
added to the Tika web site.

I attempted to check in this modification...

Lucy is a loose C port of Lucene targeted at dynamic language bindings.
The pace of development has picked up this year, and a significant
milestone was achieved with the completion of the core object model. We
are working agressively towards alpha release.

However, the commit failed, I believe because I don't have commit rights to
that subdirectory.

My take on this is: if we build it, they will come. I think it will be
challenging to attract developers until we have a real release -- so to expand
the community, we should work to make that release as soon as we can.

Sounds good, just shorten that up a bit for the report. See the other
reports for language style, etc.

Something to the effect of:

Lucy is a loose C port of Lucene for XXXXX. Progress has been made on
designing/implementing the various
interfaces.

And maybe, if you have them, some thoughts on efforts to bring in more
contributors/community.

Oh, believe me, I haven't forgotten! I've been planning for this
mid-September review for six months. The goal is to have finished both the
Boilerplater compiler and the core object model and have started on search
classes by the deadline. That, in addition to finishing provisional
implementations for real-time search, a pluggable IndexReader, and
memory-mapped sort caches generated at index time (all done), as discussed
during the flurry of design posts to lucy-dev this spring.

I will finish the last of the commits, update the Lucy website (now that
there's actually news), and file that report by tomorrow.
