As a "proof of concept": A patch that implements a DatabasMBean interface with an BasicDatabaseMBeanImpl implementation. Implements number of locked objects (in the sense of rows and tables) and transactions per second. Attached is also a JConsole screen shot. The patch needs more work (e.g comments ;-) and security stuff, but comments are very welcome.
