[jira] Created: (TAPESTRY-1880) DateField should have a showTime
parameter
DateField should have a showTime parameter
------------------------------------------
Key: TAPESTRY-1880
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TAPESTRY-1880
Project: Tapestry
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Core Components
Affects Versions: 5.0
Reporter: Filip S. Adamsen
Priority: Minor
Currently it is not possible to select time using the JavaScript calendar created by DateField. There should be a showTime parameter to allow this.
While one could subclass DateField and make a, say, DateTimeField component, this shouldn't be necessary to select a date and time.

Maybe it would be better to have 3 components: DateField, TimeField, DateTimeField.

[jira] Closed: (TAPESTRY-1880) DateField component should support

Howard M. Lewis Ship closed TAPESTRY-1880.
------------------------------------------
Resolution: Fixed
Fix Version/s: 5.0.8
Chose to call the new parameter "editTime". It's called showsTime on the client side, which is a bit awkward. showTime is not bad, but it has the disadvantage of being close to, but not identical to, the client-side. editTime is a bit better, since we are allowing the time to be editted with the date.
