[jira] [Created] (SPARK-23264) Support interval values without INTERVAL clauses

Takeshi Yamamuro created SPARK-23264:
----------------------------------------

             Summary: Support interval values without INTERVAL clauses
                 Key: SPARK-23264
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-23264
             Project: Spark
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: SQL
    Affects Versions: 2.2.1
            Reporter: Takeshi Yamamuro

The master currently cannot parse a SQL query below;
{code:java}
SELECT cast('2017-08-04' as date) + 1 days;
{code}
Since other dbms-like systems support this syntax (e.g., hive and mysql), it might help to support in spark.
