FileUpload service

I am a newbie trying to use the Turbine upload service.

I am looking for pointers or links to usage of the upload service.

No login screen in Getting Started, just TDM

I am trying to follow the examples in the TDK HowTo document - but do not
get the login screen when I use URL
http://localhost:8080/newapp/servlet/newapp .
I end up going directly to the Turbine Data Manager screen.

Any ideas on why this might be happening?

I'm using Oracle 8i (8.1.7) and so far have followed the instructions pretty
closely.

A few descrepancies in the HowTo were:
1) In editing the /TKDROOT/webapps/newapp/WEB-INF/build/build.properties
file, I did not find the properties "targetPlatform" and
"targetPlatformExt". I did fine all of the database* properties and set them

for an overview and configuration to enable the service.
You may have to set services.UploadService.automatic=true in
your TurbineResources.properties file (or equivalent) if you
are using ActionEvents, or else for ease of use.

See the JavaDoc for FileItem for information about accessing the
uploaded files. (I'm not sure if the JavaDoc is available at the
Jakarta site, but it should be in your copy of the TDK in the
tdk/webapps/site directory.)
